Passport remaining validity while in transit in Shanghai

Hi I am a French citizen, flying back from Australia to Paris this summer with a 4 hours stopover in Shanghai to change plane (same company China Estern although on share code with AirFrance). I do not want to exit the airport. I noticed that my passport will have a remaining validity of less than 6 months at the time of the stopover. Could it be an issue given I will have an international connecting flight?
Thank you

Hi, don't worry. A valid passport is enough for you to transit freely in Shanghai for such a short stopover.
