About:FAQ of Chinese Visa Application

I am considering working in China but want to bring my parents

The job would give me a temporary work permit for two-three years.
Can I bring my parents with me?

Yes, sure. Your parents can apply for family visit S1 or S2 type to stay with you in China. But in my opinion, you have to get your work permit and invitation letter first for the working Z application. Then your parents are able to accompany yours.
