About:72-Hour Visa-Free Transit

Multiple Airlines?

With the 72hr transit visa can I fly into China on 1 airline and out on another or do I need to purchase a thru fare with the one airline

eg. I want to fly from Macau to Beijing on China Southern then 72hrs later fly out to Manilla on Philippine Air
