Can my mother stay as dependent till the duration I am there in Hongkong

My company is sending me to Hongkong for 1-2 years assignment. I need to know whether my mother (widowed) can stay with me in HK as dependent till the time I am there in HK. I understand I can take my spouse and children as dependent to HK, but need clarity about my mother. she has no one to look after here and I need to take her along with me. Please help.

Hi, you are right. Your mother can not stay in HK as your dependant unless you are a Hong Kong permanent resident or a resident who is not subject to a limit of stay in Hong Kong.

Sorry, I am afraid not. You may try to contact HK immigration department directly for more details.
