About:Dianchi Lake Scenic Area

Any good hiking spots around Kunming?

I have read about all the tourist places but i want to walk through (or over) mountains to be alone. I stay near North Railway Station and just want to take a bus to a village, walk through Nature and return from another Village. Can you recommend any Bus lines/villages/ways over the mountains and through forest or like that? Btw: nice website and nice support! :)

Have you ever heard the Stone Forest (Shilin)? If you are intertested, I suggest you take a train at KM Train Station to Shilin and then transfer to a shuttle bus to the scenic spot to have a visit. After that, you can consider walking to the Naigu Shilin, 7-8km away!

Or at KM train station, there are direct buses to Jiuxiang Scenic Area, where you can fully hike and enjoy the natural scenery!

And if you wanna travel in or near the city, Dianchi Lake shall be a good choice! Also you can hike to visit the Haigeng Park!
