About:72-Hour Visa-Free Transit

Will the following work:

US --> Beijing (68 hour stopover using 72 hr free transit) --> Siem Rep Cambodia (via Guangzhou -- transit only)?

No, you have to apply for a Chinese visa in advance for this trip. The 72 hour free transit is for direct transit via one eligible city only.
