About:Chinese Etiquette

Meeting our daughter's future in-laws for the first time.

Our daughter's future in-laws are traveling from China to the United States. They will be coming to our home for dinner where we will meet them for the first time. Is it customary to present them (either jointly or separately) with a welcome gift? Any help as far as what to or not to do would be greatly appreciated.

Actually, it is not a must! Just treat them a good dinner. But if you present a gift (jointly is fine), they will be very happy!
