question, can i mail my applicationbe given a date to returnpick up my visa in

Ok I have found that i need to apply for it in Chicago given i live in Michigan. I understand I have to submit an application  and then i will be given a return date to come pick it up. I was planning on driving this 8 hour round trip to Chicago.  Basically is there a way i can do this by making one trip to Chicago instead of 2?

I am afraid because the consulate does not accept mailed application. But you can entrust someone else or a travel agency to handle your appliction on your behalf if you do not want to visit for collect from the embassy. Anyway, you can have a try to contact the consular office for confirmation.
