How long does it take to reach LaoJun Mountain from Lijiang?

And is there a cable car to the top to reach the temple?

It takes 2-3h from LJ to Laojun Mountain! And yes, there is cable car service onto the mount for your convenience!

thanks for your informative response. Do you know if the cable car will run during the rainy season in July and August? This is when i plan on visiting

I heard that as long as the weather is not very bad, the cable car shall be in service all the time even in rainy days! Don't worry! And also you are advised to check ahead of the weather forecast before traveling.
