About:China Visa Entries / Validity / Duration of Stay

New F visa double entry

Hi, so my case is a little complicated and even immigration can't quite figure it out.
I was given a double-entry F on 20th November 2013, and it states that I am permitted to stay until the 15th February for this time, and to stay for 90 days each time since the next entry. So I left China on the 23rd December 2013 and came back on the 31st December 2013 (first exit-entry). Then I went to Hong Kong on the 27th March to the 30th March 2014 (90 days were up on the last day of March, 2nd exit-entry validated). It states it is valid until the 17th May 2014. To me this means I can stay until end of June since my last entry into China was the 30th March, right? I'm supposed to travel within here in June and taking flights is really stressful because the government doesn't understand it! Any help would be welcome!

Yes, you understand it very well, as you are now in China on the second entry for a stay of 90 days. It is just correct. 17th May 2014 is the validity of your second entry, so you can stay full 90 days from the date of entry.

Thanks Adam. The thing is I read on visa forums that if it says 'Valid until', that is the date I should leave China regardless of how many days I have left. Some others say 'Enter before' which would be no problem, but some say 'valid until' which is not the same apparently. I just don't want to end up getting fined when I leave China in June..

Hi Rosalie, as I know, "Valid Until" means "entry" only, you can stay full time period as "the duration of each stay" issued to you.
