how to get from hangzhou to huangshan xihai hotel

We are planning to visit the HS in May, travelling from Hang Zhou to the mountain, staying at XiHai hotel for 1 night and back to Hang Zhou the next day. Appreciate your advise on:1.  How to get from Hangzhou to XiHai hotel at HS? Bus/train/taxi/which cable car station is nearest to the hotel?2. How long will the whole journey take? 3. Suggestions of itenery, what to see and do while we are there? We would love to see sun set and sun rise if possible.4. Any chance to visit Tunxi old street and still be back to Hang Zhou on day 2? If it is possible, how do we get there?5. How to get from the mountain or Tunxi back to Hang Zhou? How long will it take?Thanks :)

The Xihai Hotel is on the mountain. So from Hangzhou, you need to go to local west bus station to take a bus for Tunxi, HS city, where you can find the frequent buses for Tangkou Town, at the bottom of the mountain. Then climb the mountain or take cable car to reach your hotel. You can take the Cloud Valley Telpher to reach the top of the mountain and then climb to your hotel. If using the cable car, it takes around 1.5 hours. If hiking on foot, it takes around four hours. If you take the cable car, you will reach the White Goose Range Stop. Then you can pass the Hehui Song, the Flower Grown out of a Writing Brush Rock, Pen Rack Peak, Beihai Hotel and then Xihai Hotel. After check in, you can plan the time to see the sun set. After you get down the mountain on the next day morning, you can head for Tunxi Old Street. You need to take a bus from the mountain to HS Bus Station. Get out of the station, you can find the bus line 1 to reach Yi Ma Lu Station. Get off the bus and then walk to the Old Street. The buses from Tunxi to Hangzhou are from HS Central Bus Station on Qiyun Avenue. The bus takes around two hours and a half.
