About:72-Hour Visa-Free Transit

Will the 72 hour rule work for me? Jason from the United States

I'm flying to Shanghai June 25th 2014 and staying for 2 days, then taking a air asia flight to Manilla on the 27th of June. Then July 11th I'm heading back home by taking a Flight back to Shanghai to catch my return Delta flight to Detroit , only staying for 24 hours to catch my return flight. During my stay for 2 days on first arrival I want to take a paid tour of Shanghai. Will the 72 hour no Visa exception work for me. Mind you I will not be in China longer then 72 hours on either of my stops there.

For your first stayover, the 72h free visa policy is avaliable. However, you hold separate air ticket for your second stop at Shanghai, so you are not eligible for the policy.
