I'm so happy with your advise, it will truly help us with our travel. I just want to query if the MTR tickets is the same in UK where we can buy a whole day travel ticket and use it the entire day regardless where we're going? Thanks a lot again!

Yeah, there is such MTR ticket in HK called octopus card, with which you can hop on and off trains, trams and most buses and ferries in Hk.
