About:China Holidays & Festivals

Will it be crowded in July for attraction sites?

I am travelling to china in coming July,but i heard it is the semmer break for china university student.So will the tourist destination full of people and I am not able to enjoy the beauty of china.I am going to beijing,shanghai,xi an and guilin.

It will be during the summer holiday indeed, but the crowds won't be very bad, compared with May Day and National Holiday. However, the places you are visiting are very popular, so if possible, book the transportation ticket and hotels in advance.

I am Chinese. Normally speaking, it will be crowded end of June or early of July for summer holidays starting and Sep 1st for the university re-opening, but actually it is not crowded if you miss these two peak periods. You can book ticket/hotel in advance and enjoy your tourist within these two months. Maybe you can set up a tourist routing as these four cities is very far.
