Generally speaking, your credit card is accpectable for payment in many hotels, especially international ones, and large shopping centers/malls in Beijing and the most common ones are Visa and Master cards.

It is best to withdraw money with your travel cheques for payment there, because there is only a small part of shopping malls and hotels accepting payment with that.
