About:Embassy of Bahamas in China

Bahamian traveling to China who has a Green Card in the US.

Hello I am a Bahamian citizen from the Bahamas who lives, work and has permanent residency in the United States. I have a bahamian passport with no visitors visa in it since I did not need it after getting my green card. Do I need a separate one to travel to China? If so can I apply for it in Nassau, Bahamas? Thank you.

Of course you need to apply for a Chinese visa for a visit to China. You can apply either in the USA or in Bahamas.

Dylan if you don't mind my asking where are you getting this information from? I spoke to several people while waiting for your answer and I was told that U.S. Citizens need to apply for a V prior to travelling to China but as a Bahamian Citizen I do NOT need one, just a Bahamian passport. I spoke with two relatives who just travelled there last year as well as the Chinese consulate in the Bahamas. I just wanted to be sure because I didn't see it anywhere online confirming that fact. Having verified with several sources including the consulate, it seems I do not need to apply for one. Thank you.
