brother visiting china on tourist li'm going on a business visa

I would be visiting PRC on a Business type for a week through my company, and I wanted my brother to come along with me through a Tourist L. Does he need to mention any info on the application form regarding my travel? and regarding stay, since he would be staying with me in the same hotel does he have to produce my hotel booking confirmation or is it not mandatory?

Of course he needs to mention your trip to the application form if you will share hotel booking for application. I am not sure if you are going to apply at the same time, but it is better for you to apply together.
