About:Beijing Travel

Traveling back to home country canada from Thailand through bejing.

9 hour layover in bejing. We would like to do a quick guided trip to see the Great Wall while we're waiting. Do we have to do the formal visa application process for our 4/5 hour trip outside the airport? Can we do any necessary paperwork at the airport when we land?

If you have Canadian passport, no visa application is needed and you just need to get a stay permit when you reach BJ in the airport.
With this permit, you can get out of the airport.
