About:72-Hour Visa-Free Transit FAQ

stop in China.

1. Flight 1 is Tokyo Shanghai TRANSIT
2. Flight 2 is Shanghai Mumbai with a Technical Stop in Chengdu but Same Plane

Is this allowed?

If your two transits or stopovers are within 24h, just apply for a stay permit upon landing at Shanghai! No visa is needed.
