I am planning to go there for visit with family on December before Christmas (17-23 December ), is this rainy season? IS it peak?

Personally, it is ok to travel there in Dec. considering the weather condition. It is not during the raining season, but some rainy days will take place then! You are advised to pay attention to the weather forecast before traveling!And it will be during peak season, so there may be many people at the attractions.
