What about pets in the cabin on flights from Hong Kong to Shanghai?

I would like to fly from Hong Kong to Shanghai on an Air Canada flight. Is it possible to take my cat with me in the cabin for such a flight? I can provide all the necessary health certificates. Thanks for your help and advice.
