About:Beijing Capital Airport Express Train

I have a 7 hours layover and want to go take some quick pictures at the wall and go to the city.

Is it possible to do? I'm not planing on stay too long just 10-15 mins to take some photo?

Which part of the Great Wall that is closest to visit from the airport and the city?

Yes, it is possible. Mutianyu Great Wall is comparatively closer to the airport. You can take a taxi to get there to take some pictures and also get back to PEK by cab. As you just wanna have a quick ans short stay there, you can hire a taxi near the airport for a round trip instead of taking two for two single trips, which will save you some money!

The time is so tight.
From the Mutianyu to the Forbidden City area, it takes around one hour and a half to two hours by a car if the road condition is not so bad.

I suggest you to choose one direction, either for the Great Wall or the Forbidden City area for both sightseeing and lunch. Personally speaking, I suggest you to go to the Forbidden City area. You can take the airport shuttle bus for Xidan and find a nearby place to have breakfast. Then head for the Forbidden City for sightseeing and then walk out of the city to the Tiananmen Square. After visiting, you can go back to the Xidan area for a lunch and then back to the airport by shuttle bus line 2.

Two hours to two hours and a half can be spent in the Forbidden City and then one hour around the Square.
