Hi, Eric.
The typhoon season comes on the late May to mid September, but the exact happening time is hard to tell.
The typhoon do not happen frequently, so if you are lucky enough, you will not meet one, but currently, it is too early to tell the situation during your visiting. It is suggested to keep a close look on the latest weather forecast in Sep to check whether you will meet the typhoon or not.
