Change from Resident Permit to Tourist Visa

Hello! I am currently a student studying in Shanghai on a Resident Permit. My family and I are booked for a tour in July, however, my current permit expires on June 30. Is it possible for me to apply for a Tourist L while still in China and before my permit expires?

Hi, it is ok for you to extend your stay without leaving. So just visit local PSB and apply for a tourist L. Generally, you will be issued 30 days one, but you should prepare return ticket and travel itinerary or financial support for your extra stay here.
