About:Wild Great Wall in Beijing

how to get from Beijing South station to the great wall (badaling)?

We only have a few hours in Beijing and would like to see the wall. We arrive into Beijing South from Shanghai and it seems that the wall is north of the city. Other than hiring a taxi to go all the way, we cant find an option. Is there an easier way?

Upon arriving, you can take local subway line 4 from the south train station to Xizhimen and then walk to Beijing North Train Station. There you can take a direct train to BDL wall!

Subway line 4 takes around 25min to Xizhimen and the train to Badaling takes around an hour and a quarter!
