About:China Visa Application in USA

Is letter of introduction required to receive a visa to enter China?

I will be attending a trade show in Shanghai next month; will I need to have a letter of introduction/invitation or can I simply apply for a tourist L without a letter?

Hi, for purpose of attending a trade show, you need to apply for business M type with an invitation letter from China.
