Package from China via France to USA ??

My Tracking Number is RC141705585CN and when I go to China Post tracking I get this:

This is incredible since the final destination is Colorado, USA. When asking the seller he
says that the package goes via France to USA . This does not sound credible since the distance
from Beijing to Paris and on to Denver, Colorado is 10417 miles, whereas direct flight from
Beijing to Denver is 6,457. Can you possibly explain the logic? I have a suspicion that this
package is not coming my way!! Could you also email me a relly - I would much appreciate it>
