About:Mount Huashan

Equipment for Plank Walk on Mt. Huashan

I would like to hike the mountain as soon as possible towards the south peak. I read that this route is the most dangerous one because you have to pass the plank walk. I also read that safety harnasses are for rent, but the rent shop is probably not open that early in the morning.

Can someone maybe give me some more information about the rental of safety harnasses? Is there a rental shop at the foot of the mountain and from when till when is it open?

Actually, there is no shop for the safety harness's rental. Just several staff are there to offer the service and any help! I heard the Plank Walk is open to the public from 08:00 to 18:00. No such safety harnesses are available at the foot of the mountain!

You don't have to do the plank walk to reach the South Peak summit. The plank walk is an 'out and back' near the South peak. The equipment is 30RMB.
