authentication of diploma

Hi,
Can I use L.A or San Fran. Locations for authentication process since I currently live here. I have gotten college diplomas from Florida notorized ( by Florida notorary), got it authenticated by state dept. ( Washington DC) but I currently live in CA.but the website states document originating in florida should go to houston?
