guangzhou airport to shantou

Question

I will be landing at Guangzhou's BaiYun International Airport and wants to go to ST immediately. What is the most convenient way to get to ST? Should i go to GZ East Railway Station to take the train to ST? I am interested to take the bus as I intend to stay in ST Overseas Chinese Hotel and I understand that there is a bus station right beside it.

From Guangzhou airport, there is no direct bus to ST. There is only one train from Guangzhou East Railway Station to ST, T8361/T8364 at 10:26. The train takes about 7 hours and a half, so it is not suggested to take. You need to go to Tianhe Coach Station to take a bus for ST and then use local taxis to your hotel. From Guangzhou airport to Tianhe Coach Station, you can take the airport shuttle bus line 8A1 to reach Tianhe Coach station directly. Hope the information is helpful.
