About:China Visa Entries / Validity / Duration of Stay

How do I obtain a Visa for that far in the future?

I am an American citizen and will be going on an around the world trip and will not make it to China until 6 months into the trip.

Hi, you can apply in HK if a side trip to HK is possible. The fact is that it is difficult to apply in a third country now. So it necessary, you can apply for a double entry tourist L in advance in USA, which will be valid for 6 months after issue.
