About:Chinese Embassy in Sri Lanka

Can you please let me know which VISA type to apply for if I am visiting Hong Kong for a university competition?

A visitor type is ok. You can apply from the HK Immigration Department directly or Chinese embassy in Cambodia. I suggest you apply at least one month in advance.
