About:FAQ on China Postal Service

Privacy of packages being sent.

My friend, who lives in the same province as me, may send me something in the mail. When sending domestic packages, how secure is the mail? ie. do they run each parcel through a scan, or check the contents like they do when sending things international?

When you come to the post office to send your package, the staff there check your parcel carefully. They just make sure that there is no no harmful or illegal item. But I don't think they will check it when your parcel is transferred from a place to place.
