About:National Holidays in China

Chinese National Holiday 1st to 3rd May?

I will be in Shanghai from 1st to 5th May 2014. I would like to know whether during the National Holiday from 1st to 3rd May,
1. I will be able to change currency from any bank or any official money changer.
2. Are shopping centres open during that time.
3. Is Shanghai bus tour operational during that period.

Don't worry. The banks are open at that time. But it might be closed a bit earlier. The shopping centers are open too. There will be a lot of people because big promotion usually occurs during the holidays. Of course, the bus, train and plane are all operated as usual.

The only thing you should pay attention is that you should be prepared for the crowds. Chinese people prefer to travel during holidays. It will be crowded everywhere.
