About:Chinese Consulate in Chicago

My Passport expires in about 6 months..

Just wondering if I will need to get a new passport to go to china if I only am staying 10 days. I had read that I should have a passport that is valid for at least six months before I leave, but mine would have probably about five and a half months left on it by the time I had planned on leaving. Do you think this would be a red flag for my visa or with only a ten day stay is it not something I should worry about?

Hi, 6 month remaining validity of passport is required when you submit your application. It is ok if it is less than 6 months when you travel. So don't worry about this.
