Milk powder for orphanage

I am visiting orphanage in China in April. Website says I can take 6 cans per person for personal use. How many cans of milk powder per person can I take to give to orphanage as gift.

Suzanne, it's not like what you said. According to the customs, those who bring less than or equal to 2.5 kilograms milk powder are not required to pay the duty. 2.5 kg milk powder is equal to six boxes/cans. If you bring more than 6 cans, you will be asked to pay the tax. The tax rate is 10%.

For foreigners, they can bring items for personal use and the total value should be less than 2000 RMB. If you carry more than 2000 RMB personal items, you will be taxed too.
