About:Apply for China Visa in a Third Country

Do you know can I apply for student visa in HK? I have Russian passport.

I enrolled chinese university but they did not send me documents for obtaining X type before the term started and I came with L type. Now the form is ready.

I am afraid you can't. HK authorities require that the applicants must have HK resident status. I think you need get back to Russia and apply for the X type.
