To avoid peak season for visiting Xian.

Hi there,
We are budget travellers, we are planning to go XA either March or Sep or January. But understand that, the entrance fee and hotel charges is during November to February.
Its alright or worth to travel in January to enjoy the lower entrance fee and cheaper hotel rate ? Coz Chinese New Year if Fall on February.
