What should I wear in April going to the Great Wall of China in Beijing?

The average temperature is around 6 to 18C in April, little bit cold in the early April and hot in the late of this month.
It is suggested to take a thin sweater and a thin coat as if you go in the early month. If in the late time, you can just take a T-shirt, short sleeved clothes and a thin coat.
