how can i apply for chinese student visa(x1)?

I am going to China for exchange for 1 year, so I have to apply for the X1. I want to use my Canadian passport to apply for it, however, I will not be in Canada in the following months. So I want to ask if there is any way that I can apply for the X1 using Canadian passport outside Canada, i.e in Hong Kong.

Hi, it is hard to say, because the office in HK is getting strict now for application. Basically, they only issue visas to HK residents. So, you can try to contact a HK travel agency if they can help.
