how long does it take

ive been waiting far to long for my item. how long does it take from Departure from outward office of exchange to the uk

Remember to file a "not received"-claim if paid through PayPal or similar before the deadline closes (usually 45 days from purchase).

Any package, reaching a given location, depends on the kind of China Post Shipping Service that was chosen.
Normally we all choose the cheapest way. So when we (the shipper and / or the buyer ) choose China-Post , it is because we do not want to spend enough money.
Since China-Post is rather cheap (for shipping purposes) it is also the slowest. Usually, it takes 7 – 20 working days for AIR and SAL mails, and 40 – 70 days for a surface mail. If there is any delay, it would be as long as 180 days.
