About:China Student Visa

Is it possible to get multiple entry visas and which is the best way to do so (if possible)?

I am a UK student and I'll be going to study at a Chinese University from september to december 2014. As part of my trip I would love to do a little bit of travelling to Japan, South Korea, HK... Thanks

Hey, a Finn here, in the exact same situation as you!
I'll be applying for X1 and wish to travel to SK, Hong Kong, Japan etc. during my university breaks.
The information I've heard so far has been pretty mixed, but it seems that for those going for half a year it might be a problem; however, if you'll stay longer they should be willing to grant you a multiple entry.
I am not certain of this though, I called the Embassy and didn't really get any clear answers.
