About:72-Hour Visa-Free Transit

definition of 72 hours

Hello,

I have used the visa exemption quite often. For my next trip I plan to stay in PEK for 3 days again, I haven't booked my tickets yet.

My flight from is arriving at 1400 hrs on a Wednesday. My flight out of PEK would be on Saturday - 72 hours and 5 minutes later at 1405 hrs.

Will this cause any overstaying issues? I asked at the immigration exit lady but she told me to ask the immigration officer at the 72 hour free transit counter which I logically will not be able to do before I get there.

Thanks for any advice.
