hello,do I need category C or category G visa if I will embark to foregin ship and go strait from Shanghai to japan,so I will not stay in China and we will not have another ports in China.

When I arrived to SH,next day I will embark and my ship will leave China.In embasy they told me it is category G because I will not stay in China as a crew member and it is not chinesse company.Thank you very much in advance

Hi, don't worry, a transit G type is enough for this purpose of visit.
