England to Shanghai to Cambodia

Hi, i am flying to cambodia with a 2 day stopover in shanghai. I would like to see the city in those two days. Do i need to prewarn my airline or immigration of this or can it just be done at the arriving airport with minimal hassle?

Hi, you should inform the airline stuff when check in for the plane to Shanghai. Then they will send your information to Shanghai airport before landing so that you can get free transit permit easily on arrival.
