Zhou clan originated in Qishan, a county in Shaanxi Province. The Western Zhou had its capital in Haojing, in the southwest part of Chang'an City. The eastern Zhou chose Luoyiyi (Luoyang at present) as its capital. Based on these facts, you can see Zhou Dynasties were located in Shaanxi and Henan Provinces.
