About:FAQ of Chinese Visa Application

With a double entry tourist visa, can I go from Shanghai to HK then Macau and then back to China?

I am concerned it would use a stamp / one of my entry permits travelling from Hong Kong to Macau? We will have a double entry tourist visa. The plan is London to Shanghai, then Shanghai to Hongkong and then Macau and then back to mainland China via Zhuhai. Would this be OK?

Yes, it is ok. HK and Macao are Special Administrative Regions of China, who have their own immigration policy. Your double entry tourist L is enough for the itinerary above. One entry for Shanghai and the other for the entry to Zhuhai from Macao.
