About:China Visa Entries / Validity / Duration of Stay

China embassy granted single entry for double entry request. Cruise requirement. Pls clarify.

We requested for double entry but we were only granted single entry. Our cruise requires double since our entry and exit points will be in shanghai. We submitted the request letter for double and all requirements but the person who attended to us mentioned that the embassy does not grant double entry if the individual has not been in china atleast 6times. Kindly clarify pls. Thanks

If the embassy staff tells that those who can't apply for a double entry one if they haven't been in PRC for six times, then it must be true. They set the rules and the applicants just follow their rules.

If you just arrive in Shanghai and then leave from there, I think a single entry is ok.

No visa is required if your second entry to Shanghai is for transit only for a stay less than 24 hours.
