Do I need apply for transit visa if I want to stay overnight at hotel near Beijing Capital Airport?

I am not the passport holder who come from 51 countries get 72 hours free transit Beijing. My flight will be arrival Beijin 9. 35 pm by Air China from Sendai, Japan and will departure to Bangkok 2.05 pm next day.

You needn't apply for the transit type but you need to apply for a stay permit if you want to stay at a hotel outside of the airport. It can be acquied when you arrive.
