About:China Student Visa

Extension / renewal of X2 visa

Hi
I intend to study 1 semester atthe university of Haikou and then 1 another semester in the university of Guilin. To gest the invitation letter and the X2 seams ok but how to do the extend or renew the X2 for the second semester?

I am not sure if you can extend your X2 type without leaving. Perhaps, you need to go back to apply for the X2 type for the second univeristy. Anyway, the univerity of Guilin should help you acquire the X2 type. I think you can ask the university to confirm with the entry and exit management bureau in Guilin whether you can get the X without leaving. If they say no, then you have no other choice but going back for the new X2.
